Will Lakers continue to suck?

The NBA playoffs are underway, and with the game twos of several series about to happen, it is time to exercise the zig-zag. I therefore have taken denver(+4.5)over OKLAHOMA CITY, and portland(+4)over DALLAS. I could take LALAKERS(-11.5)over neworleans and ORLANDO(-9)over atlanta, but I'm not crazy about laying big points with teams that are playing like shit. To play the zag, I also would have got a bet down on nyknicks(+6)over BOSTON, but that game is already underway.

I've had a futures bet on the Lakers to win it all since the preseason. I think my confidence has been shaken the most by the Bynum injury scare, and I think second place may go to game one of this series. Chris Paul just embarrassed these guys. While I still don't see the Hornets winning this series, it makes me wonder how many other stud players are waiting in the wings to make the Lakers look like shit.

Can a team that looks this shitty win it all?

I also have a bet on the Thunder to win it all at 12/1. This bet is considerably smaller than my bet on LA, but the odds are so much better that I will make more if OKC rises to the top.

Personally I think the Bulls have the best chance to beat the Lakers, but they seem to be having alot of trouble with the Pacers right now. In any case, the odds on Chicago were pretty short.

I lick wounds, take under

Today are the Final Four matchups. Butler is favored by 3 over Virginia Commonwealth, and Kentucky is favored by 2 over UConn. I'm thinking about betting Kentucky, but at this point I have only bet Butler-VaComm UNDER 134. Of course, if Va Comm finds a way to win, they just may put the total over as well. If you know my recent picks, and you haven't been living under a rock, you know I haven't won much lately.

The one thing everybody can agree on at this point is that Butler can play defense. Yet the total has moved from 133 to 134. Everybody likes to bet the over. Now I'm off to a cigar promotion, a country music show (?!?) and a party that I may leave if I can't talk the host into watching basketball. Busy, busy, busy.
