United they Fall?/ RoQQ vows Revenge after Simmons Snub
get it into united heads - either way united r screwed if u dont take 3 points from a very good city side
if liverpool win they will be 2 wins out of 2 - game in hand
if chelsea wins they will be 3 wins out of 3
dont forget united did not beat chelsea or arsenal last season or in the community shield
(penalty shootouts do not count as wins)
Theoretically, United should want a tie, so each gains only a point. on the other hand, if I were you, I'd be pulling for Liverpool, since, if the last 15 or so years are any indicator, Liverpool will blow a few points here and there. Chelsea, on the other hand, will be hard to catch, just as ManU was hard to catch last year. Honestly, the only way I see anyone else breaking into the top two is if the injuries for United and Chelsea persist. (Of course they may--Carvalho just injured his knee...)
Anyway, when was the last time Chelsea went to Liverpool and won? I'll be satisfied with a point, and some typical Mourinho spin to wash it down, though Gerrard's broken toe I am hopeful.
Right now I am watching the replay of the Pompey game jsut to watch Ronaldo get red carded.... (gloating)....
.....(more gloating)......
......(more gloating)...... Pompey fans calling someone a word that rhymes with anchor that this forum will not allow; can't tell who though,
if you lose to City you may begin panicing in earnest.
Especially if Blues beat Liverpool, BUT I don't think we will...

Meanwhile, the Sports Guy finally came out with another mailbag, but neither one of my emails made the cut.
I had no idea fan mail was so competitive.
He ran the mailbag immediately after Bonds broke the homerun record, so I figured there was a decent chance my related letter would make it (see my July 6 post). No such luck. I'm not sure if my humor is too risque, or just not as funny as I think it is.
