Has our hero hit rock bottom? He is hoping that his online sportsbook/poker accounts have hit bottom, but you can always go lower....They say that you have to hit rock bottom before you get help for an addiction, but if the addiction is profitable...

I Flip

Here's my update:

I'm taking carolina(+2.5)over NYGIANTS, and

pittsburgh(-3)over CINCINNATI

The weather should favor the Giants, but little else seems to. No secondary, no linebackers, inexperienced quarterback...I think we're asking Tiki Barber and their defensive ends to do too much. The weather doesn't look that bad, relatively speaking, and this will be the early game. I'm already gearing up to bet against Carolina if they go to Chicago, however. That place makes Jersey look like the Caymans.

I still think that Pittsburgh is hopelessly overrated, and that Carson Palmer could make fools out of us all, but he has zero playoff experience, and the Bengals just don't look like they have their shit together right now. Basically I'm hoping for a Pittsburgh blowout, so that their spread at Indy is unrealistically small.

Ugh, just found Bill Simmonses picks, and the two I was really on the fence over (these two) he went the other way for about the same reasons that I was going the other way before. If it's any consolation, he had a hard time with this weeks picks as well. We both agreed on the Saturday games. I went with all the more experienced QB's in the end, but Carson Palmer is far better than Big Ben, however you spell his last name, and Bill Cowher doesn't know what he is doing. So we'll see if I knew what I was doing in deliberately going against my gut here, and in the Giants game.

UGH.

Off to the field.

Ugh.
