From the Time Capsule/Bubble
I am now watching the third quarter of the Notre Dame-Ohio State game--taped, because that is what we get here in Korea. I am wondering how long I can hold off from checking the Internet (which I am of course ON), and whether I can keep from alerting my buddy who is a huge Notre Dame fan, call him "Pugilent Mick."
Well, I lasted about a drive and a half. Puggy had me check to see if thte game was live....(dramatic pause)....and--it is! I'm really confused about the whole time zone thing right now...I had assumed that the times I saw posted were East Coast, but apparently they are local, which would be Mountain Time, for the Fiesta Bowl that is.
Well, the game is over now. I was too busy watching the game to really comment here. I couldn't really wholeheartedly fuck with Mick, but I kept mentioning scenarios that had Notre Dame coming back to cover but still lose. (This became particularly easy after Notre Dame missed the extra point after their second score.)
Ugh. Meanwhile, the NewEngland spread is already up to 8, and the NYGiant spread has dropped to 2.5. It looks like money is coming in on Cincy as a home dog, but at this point I am thinking about giving the points with the Steelers. I think I am going to throw down on the Pats and Skins, and wait a little while longer before I decide on the other two. I wonder how the weather will be in New York this weekend....
