HS lines & parlays
I've been doing research this weekend. On what, you ask?
Typhoons and disaster relief in the Philippines?
The possible link between MMR vaccinations and autism?
Who am I, Mother Teresa? Nothing so noble. I have been researching Louisville High School football point spreads.
Unlike college & pro football, you can't just look this stuff up online. I went to a tavern somebody mentioned to me last week, and after settling down with a Woodford Reserve, light rocks, I pointed out the St. X pint glass on the bar, and asked the bartender if I was in the sort of place where you could get a line on a high school game.
He gave me a stony look, and told me that he was pretty sure there were bars nearby where you could do that sort of thing, but this was not the place.
After a bit of back and forth with a couple of geezers about my action on 'Bama and Louisville (the games that were on there) and the rest of my two six-team moneyline parlays, the one wearing a yellow and green Saint X hat told me that the St. X-Male game had been a pick-em.
I told him I expected that Male would have been favored, since they had beaten St. X during the regular season
